Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices.
The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.
Ron Reed from Crawfordsville, IN is a geocaching enthusiast and also a Blind Melon fan. He has just created the first geocache in Shannon Hoon’s memory. Called ‘Stay with me and I’ll have it made’, the cache will lead you to graveyard of Shannon.
“Cachers are peace loving, respectful and our biggest thrill is getting out in the open air and enjoying the day. It is not in a cacher’s mind to bring harm or disrespect … quite the opposite.” assures Ron.
