“… I now have all the signed interview releases for the book, and all the members of the band ok’d the book after reading the manuscript. I’m just waiting for a few more pictures that photographers are going to contribute for the book. I think i’m going to go with a ‘print on demand’ company to put out the book (which means, people can buy it online, and each copy is printed per each person that buys a copy, so there’s no overstock or anything). By doing it that way, I should be able to get the book out much sooner, and will also be able to have much more of a say in how the book turns out. I’m hoping (fingers crossed) to have the book totally done and ready for purchase by the end of the summer. The title of the book is now ‘A devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other: the story of Shannon Hoon and Blind Melon’ (it’s a phrase that Rogers once said to describe Shannon)…”

Tumblin’ Down is the new single from the album For My Friends that came out almost 2 months ago. The guys have also just announced new dates on their myspace and specially dates in Canada starting at the end of September in Winnipeg, MB.

Blind Melon has started a new tour yesterday at the Jubilee Jam Festival in Jackson, Mississippi. They will be playing in the US during the summer, Europe in September and Canada in the fall.
Talking about Europe, Blind Melon will be one of the headliners at the Azkena Rock Festival in Spain on September 4th 2008.
