Coming fall 2012, “Sweet Meloncholy” is a graphic novel depicting the songs and stories of Blind Melon.
Brad Weitz, Csaba Mester and Nel Hoon are behind this project. Brad Weitz is already a well known melonhead who’s made the “From Your Friends” book last year and Csaba Mester is a comic book artist from Hungary.

Joon Wolfsberg is a young german artist. I made a post last year about her album “Made in USA” that featured a song named “Blind Melon” dedicated to the late Shannon Hoon. “I love so much the old Blind Melon. My favorite songs are Paper Scratcher and Change” she said.
Her lastest album “Wonderland” will come out on June 1st in Europe and a few weeks later in the US. Click the image below and watch the making of the studio recording.

A big thank you to Sofia from Germany for the tip!

Great news, Blind Melon has now an official facebook page. The band has also announced surprises to come. What will it be? Maybe something related to 20 year Anniversary in September for the debut Blind Melon album that was released in 1992 or maybe some tour dates. Who knows? Stay tuned!

Brad Smith was asked a couple weeks ago to do a photoshoot for Mimi Chica Clothing, a clothing company for kids so he roped Frankie, his daughter and Kim, his wife to be the models. Check out the interview and photos here.

Devlin, Christopher Thorn’s son is featured in Gus Black’s latest video “You Are My Sunshine” from his album “Autumn Days”

Science! is an acoustic duo from Seattle. They are about to release their debut EP with Glen Graham from Blind Melon involved on the project. The band has just started a KICKSTARTER campaign to raise enough money to cover expenses for studio time, sound engineers, artwork, press, publicity and radio promotion. After only 3 days, they already have reached their minimum goal of $2500 but they still need your help and will be using additional funds for radio, publicity and additional production. So please, check out this KICKSTARTER campaign and consider helping these guys out.
